Haandi Cuisine in Livonia, Michigan

Haandi Cuisine of India - Livonia, MichiganDon't know if you'll have seen Molly Abraham's article on Haandi Cuisine of India in Detroit News back on September 8th.

Couple of quotes from the article:
Rakesh Sabharwal and Rajiv Chopra are are the principals, with Sabharwal the hands-on proprietor in the 50-seat space tastefully decorated in reds and golds, with black table linens and artworks including two striking portraits. One is of Shah Jahan, the king who built the Taj Mahal; the other is Mumtaz Mahal, the queen he built it for.
Each day's lunch buffet comprises about 10 dishes, set up on a table in the center of the room. It also includes naan brought to the tables and a couple of desserts, usually rice pudding or a nice, not-too-sweet version of gulab jamun, milk balls in syrup.

At dinner, diners order from the menu, and service is by a well-groomed and well-trained staff under the watchful eye of the proprietor.

Haandi is located in Livonia, MI. Have you eaten at Haandi? How was the food?

Been in this area over 17 years and have dined in nearly all Indian establishments here. Haandi food, ambience, and hospitality is top-notch. Perhaps the best in metro Detroit. When eating out, Haandi is nearly always the choice of all members of our family.
