Shahrukh Khan and Kareena Kapoor - Bollywood's Best for 2007
The 53rd Filmfare awards were held today in Mumbai, India. Shahrukh Khan bagged the Best Actor award (male) for his role in "Chak De! India" and Kareena Kapoor bagged the Best Actor award (female) for her role in "Jab We Met".
Aamir Khan won the Filmfare Best Director Award for Taare Zameen Par, which was also adjudged the best film.
Deepika Padukone of Om Shanti Om won the Fresh Face of the Year Award as well as the Best Female Debutante, while the Best Male Debutant Award went to Ranbir Kapoor (Saawariya).

The 53rd Indian filmfare awards had been declared. These days awards are also given after ascertaining the popular choice. Shahrukh Khan received the award for the best actor for his performance in the film Chak De.
Shah Rukh Khan buys the awards. He has to get one every year no matter what. Not that his performance was not good in Chak De but, Darsheel deserved it. It is all an SRK filmfare show. Might as well rename the awards.
