Fireworks in Detroit Metro Area

Staying in town for the July 4th long weekend owing to gas prices? I won't blame you.

Well, if you have family visiting or want to have some summer fun, here is the link to find all the places and the dates for fireworks around the Detroit Metro Area. If you are planning to go into a state park, I would advise you to go there well in the evening time to beat the traffic and relax, barbeque some food and enjoy playing with family. The first time we tried to get into a park just around the fireworks time, it took us two hours to cover a 4 mile distance.

Follow the link to see the fireworks schedule

Lesson learnt and since then we plan to make it to the park at around 5PM, spend some fun time there and wait for the fireworks.

For all the photo enthusiasts, don't forget to take a tripod to get good pictures of your fireworks. I shot this a couple of years ago with camera on tripod and a low shutter speed.
